The ‘Friends’ Star Cast Had A Reunion At The Emmys 2020 & Could It Be Any Cooler!

Amongst other things, it turns out that 2020 is the year of reunions, no really! First, there was the one with Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston that we watched on loop (more on that later), followed by another one with half the cast of your favourite TV show, read Friends!

Here’s some context: Like most things and events this year, the Emmys took place in a virtual format, with nominees attending either solo or in small groups from safe confines. Hosted by talk show old-timer Jimmy Kimmel in an empty theatre, the trophies were delivered and handed out to the winners by individuals dressed up in hazmat suits (no kidding). But keeping up with the tradition of banter that goes on during award shows, this one was no different. As the industry heavyweights joined via their many screens, the most impromptu and unexpected appearances were of the Friends cast, well, half of them at least!

Jennifer Aniston, who was also nominated in the ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series’ category for her appearance on The Morning Show, met with Jimmy Kimmel for a virtual chit chat, joined by Courtney Cox and soon after followed by Lisa Kudrow. Sanitising Is Key

The Friends alum had a busy night for sure. Right before joining her long-standing girlfriends for the mini-reunion, she joined Jimmy on the Emmys stage to present the ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series’ category, the award going to Catherine O’Hara for her phenomenal performance in Schitt’s Creek. But before all of that, the impeccably dressed Aniston also took part in some essential sanitising duties, as one does these days. Here is what ensued.

The breezy Friends reunion came on the heels of another one which nearly broke the internet. At the virtual table read of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, exes Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt reunited along with a stellar cast that included Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman and several others. While Brad Pitt enacted the role of a character also named Brad and Aniston read her lines, a lot of laughs and giggles followed, further leaving the internet in an uproar. Take a look!
