After the first teaser of Sanjivani 2 was released, the audience couldn’t wait for their favourite doctors to recreate the magic on the small screen. While we gear up for the show’s reboot to air on national television, the cast members are busy shooting and having fun on the sets.
All the fans of the show would surely remember the title track of the serial. The song that played as the background score hit the audience like a wave of nostalgia. Building on this iconic tune, the cast of Sanjivani 2 has started the #SanjivaniWhistleChallenge on Instagram. In an attempt to promote their show, the actors are challenging their friends and fans to recreate the same.
Actress Surbhi Chandna, who will be seen playing the role of Dr Ishani started the challenge where she nominated her industry pals to whistle the background tune of the show. Taking to her Instagram, she wrote, “Tried the #sanjivaniwhistlechallenge .. and it is NOTT Easyy as it lookss.. Can you do it better?!? Even though Shivangi Joshi (the actress who plays Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) isn’t part of the show, took up the challenge to test her whistling skills. And she looks damn cute doing it! Don’t you think? Sharing the video on Instagram, Shivangi wrote, “’Maine toh pata nahi konsa whistle challenge kiya..????????♀️ I can’t whistle..???? Not at all.. Anyways @officialsurbhic I love you ♥️ All the best for your new show.. #sanjivani2 #sushi.”
However, Surbhi’s Ishqbaaz co-star Nakuul Mehta had some issues taking up the challenge. Responding to Surbhi’s nomination, Nakuul wrote on Twitter: “Currently taking lessons to whistle. Wish I was born in Delhi 😉 Would appreciate personal lessons from the Doc herself. How does a jugal bandi video sound? Kya bolti @SurbhiChandna ?”
Well, we sure would love to watch the Jugal Bandi video of the Ishqbaaz stars.
Earlier, in an interview, producer Siddharth Malhotra revealed that he saw freshness in the pairing of lead actors Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna: “When I did their test together, I saw freshness in them. Today, it takes hardly any time for stagnation to step in and for the same boredom to step in. With them, I saw energy which hopefully the people will connect to. When we talk about iconic couples, it is the characters and energy that the youth look out for. I am confident about them.”
Sanjivani 2 will be taking the 7:30 PM time slot on Star Plus, replacing Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji. The show is slated to release sometime around mid-August.
