After the Prime Minister of India, if there is one politician who is active on social media, it is the Minister of External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj. She is quite popular for her swift and smart replies on Twitter and often responds to people asking her for help.
Recently, something similar happened when an Indian man residing in Malaysia asked her for help on Twitter but before the minister could reply, netizens brutally trolled him for writing incorrect English. Gavy, the user who wrote to Sushma Swaraj, had made grammatical errors in his tweet inviting flak from Twitterati. Here's what he wrote:
@SushmaSwaraj@BBCNews@BBCBreaking I from India in Punjab but I'm now in Malaysia here one my friend mental I want send go back to India but immigration say we are cannot help you first here treatment your friend after can I send India your friend can you ask immigration
Gavy was asking the minister to help him out with his ill friend so he can come back to India for treatment. But Twitter being Twitter started making fun of his English instead. This gentleman's comment tops the list:
So savage! Needless to say, we are loving her for this response.
Sushma Swaraj became the External Affairs Minister in May 2014. She is a former Supreme Court lawyer and was called 'India's best-loved politician' by the US daily Wall Street Journal. Best-loved, alright!
