A Final Send-off: Sushant Singh Rajput’s Family Bids Him Goodbye With Love & Positivity

It’s been 15 days since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and his fans and followers still can’t get to grips with the tragedy. So, when Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti posted a picture from the prayer meet at their Patna residence earlier today, condolences started pouring in from his well-wishers all over again. In her Facebook and Instagram post flooded with emotional messages for the late actor, Shweta wrote:

A Final love and positivity filled send-off to my little brother. Hope you always stay happy where ever you are…. we will always love you for eternity. #sushantsinghrajput

It takes a great deal of courage to talk about the loss of a loved one, let alone on social media, and Sushant’s family has put up an extremely strong face in these trying times. We remember how Shweta had posted a status update on her Facebook, a day after her brother’s passing away, sharing how her 5-year-old son reacted to his mamu‘s demise. She was full of strength and encouraged Sushant’s fans, too, to “stay strong” and “not do anything that can hurt his soul”.

When I told Nirvanh the news that Mamu is no more, he said “But he is alive in your heart” three times. When a 5 yr old can say something like that… think how strong we should all be…” she had written.

While we are still coping with the loss of such a kind and talented soul, his family has decided to honour the late actor. Recently, in a statement released by Sushant’s family, they revealed that they will set up a foundation in his name called Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation (SSRF) to support young talent in the fields of cinema, science, and sports–everything he was passionate about.

Our prayers are with Sushant and his family.
