It's raining, it's raining, it's raining!
Okay, I didn't mean to go, Anu Malik, here but now that I have managed to get that song stuck in your head, let's talk about what the monsoons really mean. I am in Bombay and here getting rained down on becomes an everyday thing. Now I have a haircare bible ready for the season, but there's still the question of looking like a million bucks when you're soaked. As always I took to Instagram to put together a few hairstyles that would look AS good with wet hair as they would with clean and dry hair. I didn't have to look too far, because there she was, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja with a whole hairstyle handbook for this season in particular. Well actually, it was her hairstyling from Veere Di Wedding who put the looks together for us.
Here are a few updos and braids that will ensure you have a good hair day regardless of the temperature and downpour!
Let's start with a classic. Messy or structured, a bun is always an ideal look for a formal do.
This one will take some time to figure but a pull through bun definitely gives your hair movement especially when it is wet.
PS: Invest in some hair accessories in general and carry some in your bag. You can add them to any hairstyle to make it look like you tried.
This one is a two in one hairstyle. You can do a simple 3 strand braid and leave it like that OR you can just wrap it up into a bun.
You can never go wrong with this one. The best part? When you open the hair up you will have some beachy waves for the next day.
This one is by far my favourite, especially for wet hair. This hairstyle creates texture even with slick hair.
This one is the clincher. A bunch of tiny braids all pulled together by a bun. Though a little complicated, this hairstyle would work beautifully for a function or an event. Or even a pool party!
Told you it was a handbook of updos and braids. Which one do you like? Vote for the ones you like and we might break it down!
