Borrowing From The Boys Who?
While we are all for it, ‘borrowing from the boys’ has become a bit passé, especially when dressing in conformed gender stereotypes is something fashion is moving away from (cheers to that). Sonam Kapoor’s tailored look may have elements that will take you back to menswear, but it is in no way a look that is borrowed; it’s hers and hers alone! Her pastel-hued mint outfit came from the new Adidas X IVY Park collection (the latter is owned by Beyoncé) and incorporated a pair of straight trousers along with a matching blazer, both featuring dark green stripes on the sides.
Layered above a basic white tee, Sonam Kapoor’s refreshing look is a cool spin on working the pantsuit for winters. Adding to Sonam Kapoor’s look were accessories that worked in sync with the outfit—a pair of round sunglasses and a watch aside, the actress had a grey handbag in tow for her at-home photoshoot. On the jewellery front, she chose round earrings to elevate her pantsuit style, a pair of cool kicks rounding off her outfit impeccably.
With respect to makeup too, there were several notes to take from the 35-year-old’s beauty look which was worked upon by celebrity makeup artist Maria Asadi. A subtle yet striking lip colour was highlighted, as were elaborately done eyelashes which added to the attention on the eye makeup details comprising a swipe of black eyeliner and kohl-pencil.
