If you had hair that was even remotely long enough to be tied up, you know there was a hairstyle that you always had. The coconut tree! Where half of your hair would be pulled up into a ponytail. It was called that because if you had short hair it would look like a tree on the top of your head. I think I wore my hair like this back in college. I distinctly remember my first day in college, I had this half-up hairdo and super large hoops. Those were the days!
While hoops have already made a comeback, Shruti Hassan also brought back a super chic version of this hairstyle. She was attending the India day parade and festivities in NYC and that’s where she donned this hairdo, not once but twice!
