Artist Recreates Disney Princesses With A Sabyasachi Twist & The Results Are Magical

My love of nostalgia is nothing new. Elsa or Moana, Cinderella or Belle, I've been enamoured by Disney princesses at one point or another. And it looks like, I may never truly outgrow our Disney princess obsession, no matter how old I get. Well, that's not a bad thing. Just like me, there's an artist in another part of the world who loves Disney characters a little too much. And this Canada-based artist, Sookham Singh (@sookham_singh), has created an Indian depiction of all our favourites from Disney.

Sookham was inspired by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee's Summer 2020 Collection and she recreated Disney characters slaying the Sabya sarees. Check it out!

ICYMI, Sabyasachi launched a new collection a few weeks back and it includes more sequin and pop colours than the usual Sabya outfits. If I were to put it in simple words, his 'Modern Sangeet' and 'Reception' collections for this summer are all about simplified glamour and a classic comeback of retro fashion. We love the collection and we are loving the 'Disney Princess version' of it. Now take a look at how gorgeous each princess looks:

Fairytales do turn into reality and these princesses wearing Sabya sarees are proof.

Who was your favourite Disney Princess growing up? And which one of these do you think will make the perfect Sabyasachi bride?
