Sara Ali Khan has been grabbing eyeballs in the industry ever since she made her debut in Bollywood last year. With two movies, the Kedarnath and Simmba actress has already become a household name. The 25-year-old has been quite vocal about her personal life including her crush on Kartik Aaryan, her ex-boyfriend, her parents Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s divorce and stepmom Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The actress has made it pretty clear in the past that she adores Kareena and has always been inspired by her, especially her character Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Sara was so smitten with Bebo that she came to meet her on the sets of the movie donning her You Are My Sonia look. Little did she know that years later, she would be welcoming Kareena in her family.

In all her interviews, Sara has always projected herself as Kareena’s fan and stated how much she loves her work. In a recent interview with a magazine, she yet again spoke candidly about her relationship with Kareena and had the nicest thing to say about her. “I’ve been an avid Kareena Kapoor fan. So even today there’s an element of surprise that Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is my stepmother. People say I willed it to happen. I must have. After Sridevi, I’m a Kareena Kapoor fan.“
She further revealed that there is no awkwardness in the family and she’s satisfied with any sort of arrangement as long as it keeps her father happy. “As far as our personal equation is concerned, I was clear from the beginning that anyone who makes my father happy, not specifically Kareena, makes me happy. Anyone he loves, I love. I don’t need to know who that person is. It’s about my father. Having said that, Kareena and I became friends and have a healthy equation…we’ve conducted ourselves with dignity.”

In the same interview, she gave credit to her mother Amrita Singh for making everything so amicable. “It’s also easy for me to love and accept Kareena because I have a mom, who makes me feel everything’s fine. She got me ready for my father’s wedding with Kareena. So when you have a mother saying, ‘Yeh earrings mat peheno, doosri chandbali peheno‘ and if that’s the vibe at home, then you’re comfortable enough to take anything on,” added Sara.

Bebo, on the other hand, was found reciprocating this love and warmth on Koffee With Karan. She refused to be known as Sara’s choti maa, because she already has a mother. However, she said that Sara is her friend.
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan is rumoured to have begun shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next opposite Kartik Aaryan. Although this hasn’t been confirmed by any legitimate source, we can’t wait to see this adorable and much-talked-about duo together on the big screen!
