It’s A Mistake To Not See Your Kids Growing Up: Saif Ali Khan On Taking Paternity Leave

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are all set to welcome their second child and Taimur’s sibling soon. And as happy as we are for the second Saifeena baby, it seems like the doting dad just can’t control his excitement! The Tandav actor just shared that he will be taking paternity leave to welcome his newborn baby.

Speaking to a magazine in a recent interview, Saif opened up about the importance of paternity leave and revealed that he has been taking it since his first child, Sara Ali Khan, was born. Calling paternity leave a privilege, the actor said that it is a mistake to not see your children growing up.

“Who wants to work when you have a newborn at home! If you don’t see your children growing up, you’re making a mistake. And I can take time off from work—it’s a privileged position. Rather than follow a 9-to-5 routine, I live like an actor. Your dharma and approach to everything are based on your career,” said Saif.

Well, we’re glad to hear Saif normalising paternity leave!

On the work front, Saif was last seen in the controversial political drama series on Amazon Prime Video, Tandav. We’ll see him next in Om Raut’s Adipurush alongside Prabhas. Apart from that, Saif has also signed horror comedy film Bhoot Police with Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam. He is also set to star in crime comedy Bunty Aur Babli 2 with Rani Mukerji.

Well TBH, we haven’t seen many men taking paternity leave. So, we truly are proud of Saif for taking a step towards this change and setting some kickass #FatherGoals!
