People On Twitter Share The Best Relationship Advice They Got From Movies & It’s Gold

Two troubled individuals connecting over a conversation over their mental health medication, love woes, and everything that’s wrong with their life as they leave everyone else visibly uncomfortable. I sort of had an epiphany back in 2014 when I watched Silver Linings Playbook for the very first time. I was going through some intense relationship trouble and the film really helped me with one of those movie lessons that stay with you for life.

“You have to do everything you can, you have to work your hardest, and if you do, you have a shot at a silver lining,” Pat (Bradley Cooper) says in the movie and isn’t that the perfect answer to modern-day fleeting relationships? When we really love someone, we hold on to them, don’t call it quits at the minutest of troubles (as long as both of us want to make it work), and that’s how we have a shot at the “silver lining,” the happily ever after. The movie also taught me about letting go of people who aren’t right for you, to let go of those who aren’t good for your mental and emotional peace because that’s the only way you can go seek your “silver lining.”

If you think about it, haven’t we all learned some of the most valuable life lessons through movies? Recently, MGM Studios started a thread on Twitter asking people about the best relationship advice that they have received from a film.

The thread quickly caught on and what followed was a slew of movie-famous relationship advice that’s just gold. Here’s what Twitterati had to share:
