#FlashbackFriday: Ratan Tata Shares A Throwback Picture & We Wish We Were Born In The 70s

Ratan Tata joined Instagram only three months ago after a long break from public life and he seems to be killing it. The 82-year-old Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group took to Instagram to share a #ThrowbackThursday picture from his days in Los Angeles.

In the caption, he explained that he would have posted the picture on Wednesday–but for the fact that someone told him about “throwbacks and how they occur on Thursdays,” he changed gis mind. And we saw the picture on Thursday (still drooling over it on a Friday). Wow, my grandfather who is the same age has a hard time sending me a text message on Whatsapp, knowing what throwback Thursday is too far an ask.

“I was going to post this yesterday, but I was then told about ‘throwbacks’ and how they occur on Thursdays,” wrote Ratan Tata, sharing a picture of him that shows him in a white T-shirt, smiling for the camera. Tata also explained that the picture was taken in Los Angeles before he “happily” returned to India. He worked with Jones and Emmons in Los Angeles for a while before coming back to India in late 1962.

Within an hour of the picture being posted, the picture went viral. Here are some of the comments that came on the picture:

Earlier in November, Tata had shared another throwback photo and captioned it, “After a long absence from public life, I look forward to exchanging stories and creating something special with such a diverse community!”

We could never imagine that Ratan Tata could look so hunky. Oh God, not just daddy, we can have grandaddy issues too! 😂
