Deepika Padukone evolved into a global sensation after making her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in XXX: Return of Xander Cage. The 33-year-old actress added another feather to her cap when she finally unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London on March 14. The unveiling of Padmaavat actor's statue was streaming live on her Instagram handle, and hubby Ranveer Singh obviously couldn't take his eyes off from the replica. He kept on circling around DP's statue, awestruck and occasionally blowing kisses to wifey's life-like figure.
Standing close to the wax statue, Ranveer said, "Can I take her home?" And DP was quick to respond, "Whenever you're here, shooting for 83 and you miss me too much, you can come here." Ranveer was overwhelmed and said that he had a 'legitimate authority' over this figure.

Awww! Deepika and Ranveer's PDA always turns their fans into mush. Like Ranveer, we can't stop doting at DP's statue that is as stunning as the actress.
Deepika's parents Prakash and Ujjala Padukone and Ranveer's parents Jagjit Singh and Anju Bhavnani also attended the unveiling. The actress was all smiles as she posed with the statue with her family.
Ranveer wasn't the only one who was smitten by the installation. DP's sister Anisha Padukone shared a picture of Deepika looking at the wax statue from the event and wrote: "As if one of her was not enough... Double trouble #madametussauds #waxstatue #london."
The actress's wax statue sports a replica of the champagne-coloured Sabyasachi cape lehenga, along with a thin diamond and emerald necklace, that she wore for the 2016 IIFA Awards in Madrid.
Deepika had revealed that she’d be getting the wax treatment in July 2018. She said, "It’s fun, exciting and in a way, I feel a lot of gratitude because you know when you give your fans a little more than just the movies, then it’s really, really special. I hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoy creating it."
In an official statement, Deepika shared the significance of the wax statue for her, "As a little girl, I was a very curious kid, for me, purpose is something that is very important... After I got a call from Madame Tussauds, I thought what is the purpose of this, or what is it that my fans will remember my figure for, what is it that I would like to leave behind, and the cause of mental health is very close to my heart, it is something that I am extremely passionate about. I said that's it, I would like for my fans when they see my figure I hope it reminds them of someone who did something for the cause of mental illness, who worked towards creating awareness and destigmatizing mental illness. I hope that it gives people a sense of upliftment and a sense of hope. I hope that message comes through.”
