At the latest award function held in Dubai, the AsiaVision Awards 2019, Ranveer Singh was all praises for his fellow actors from the Indian Film Industry. Ranveer won the best Best Actor Award for his portrayal of Allauddin Khilji in Padmaavat, but his speech was not about his work in Bollywood. Instead, Ranveer took the opportunity to praise his fellow film stars, Trisha Krishnan, Dhanush and Ayushmann Khurrana, all of whom were present at the award function.
In his acceptance speech, Ranveer Singh praised Trisha saying, ‘I admire her’ and gave a shoutout to ‘the amazing Dhanush,’ and even mentioned his ‘brother Ayushmann.’

Dhanush, Trisha and Ranveer were seen bonding at the ceremony, where Trisha bagged the Actress Of The Decade award for her Tamil films Hey Jude and 96. Dhanush, on the other hand, was awarded the Best Actor Critics’ Choice Award for his role in Vada Chennai and Maari 2. Ayushmann Khurrana also received the Critics’ Choice Award for his movies Bhadhaai Ho and Andhadhun, both of which were a huge success in Bollywood.

Kiara Advani was also present at the awards and won the Emerging Star Of The Year award. However, Padmaavat proved to be the most successful film at the awards, with Jim Sarbh bagging the Best Actor (Negative Role) award for his portrayal of Malik Kafur in the film. His acceptance speech, about actors who often feel like outcasts because of the negative roles they portray, was truly moving.
