Ranveer Singh has turned into quite the cricket enthusiast since he began prepping for his next film, 83 which is based on the life of the legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev. Ranveer Singh, who will be seen playing the role of Kapil in the film, has happily let the sport take over his life. After spending 10 days at Kapil Dev’s home in order to adopt the mannerisms and characteristics of the cricketer, Ranveer decided to attend the latest match where India played against Pakistan for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
After India’s epic win against Pakistan, the actor was seen consoling a Pakistani fan, Aatif Nawaz who is a British comedian. In the video posted by Aatif, the actor hugs him and says, “Put it there. There’s always a next time. Don’t be disheartened. You played well. The boys are committed, dedicated, professional, and they’ll be back.”

Apart from being a great sport, Ranveer Singh was also a true fan-boy on the field, posting pictures with his favourite cricketers and spamming his followers!

Looks like someone had fun on the field! The actor’s next film, 83 also stars his wife, Deepika Padukone who will play the role of Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Dev. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk and Dhairya Karwa who will be playing the members of the Indian Cricket Team which lead the country to win the World Cup in 1983.
