Traditional With A Modern Twist: Miheeka Bajaj’s Pre-Wedding Looks Are Oh-So Stunning

Tollywood hearthrob Rana Daggubati is all set to tie the knot with Miheeka Bajaj on August 8 and the pre-wedding festivities have already begun. The bride-to-be’s house and the street leading up to it is decorated with yellow and white flowers and yes, we can totally feel the shaadi vibes in the air. While there has been a lot of buzz around their D-day, Miheeka’s stunning pictures from the haldi ceremony have taken the internet by storm, courtesy: her resplendent look!

Miheeka Was A Boho Bride With Shells On Haldi

Just like many other brides, Miheeka, who is an interior designer, opted for a bright yellow traditional lehenga with patch work. To avoid the dupatta hassles, the fashion-forward bride set it with a powder blue and gold embroidered belt, thereby rocking the trend of belted lehengas.

Even though we completely loved what she wore at her haldi ceremony, one thing that’s worth mentioning is her choice of jewellery. Miheeka ditched the quintessential floral jewels and instead opted for seashell jewellery. From maathapatti, kadas to earrings and rings–all her ornaments were adorned with seashells.

Yes, we have seen brides wearing seashell jewellery, but it never really became a trend. However, it looks like that Miheeka’s haldi look might prove to be a trendsetter for future brides.

Keeping the makeup subtle, the bride-to-be went for shimmery eyelids, bubblegum pink lips, fluttery lashes and tons of mascara. We totally loved her makeup done to perfection by Tamanna Rooz. For her hair, Miheeka went for soft curls while pinning up a few strands. The middle parting she opted for made her maathpatti sit properly. She looked nothing less than a dream as she elegantly posed for pictures.

This is not the first time Miheeka has impressed us with her bridal look. Her looks, so far, have been unique, inspirational and traditional but with a modern twist.

Miheeka’s Timeless Look For Roka

Days after Rana proposed to Miheeka, the couple shared some pictures from their intimate roka ceremony on May 21, and we couldn’t help but swoon over the bride’s look.

For her roka, Miheeka picked a traditional Kanjeevaram saree with a pink pallu. However, she gave a contemporary twist to her outfit by experimenting with her blouse design. She picked a matching blouse doused in metallic threadwork and embellishments designed by designer Jayanti Reddy. She also draped her saree with a pink dupatta which created the illusion of a dual pallu.

For her jewellery, the bride-to-be opted for a statement gold neckpiece with matching earrings and bangles that belong to the Royal Family of Bikaner. Fancy, eh? Soft curls, natural bright makeup with a little pink bindi completed her look for the occasion.

What sets apart Miheeka’s ensemble is its timeless appeal. You can easily replicate it for a wedding function or even a family puja.

Miheeka’s Glam Yet Traditional Look For A Pre-Wedding Function

For another of her pre-wedding functions, Rana’s ladylove painted a pretty picture yet again! She wore a mint green handcrafted lehenga by Jayanti Reddy. The heavily embellished choli and the copper embroidered dupatta made her look ethereal. Owing to COVID-19, she wore a matching mask too.

We loved how she went subtle on her makeup to complement her overall look. Pink lipstick, dewy makeup, eyeliner adorned eyes and highlighted cheekbones–what’s not to love in Miheeka’s makeup?

Pretty, right?

Considering the pandemic, the couple will be tying the knot with just 30 people in attendance at Hyderabad’s Ramanaidu Studios. And we can’t wait to see the pictures from the wedding!
