Priyanka Chopra Jonas sure knows how to dominate headlines with her sense of style. But, not all her sartorial choices are worth the hype. Of course, we are talking about her recent look from the Golden Globe 2020' after-party. While her candy pink look from the red carpet was simply Barbie-licious, her dress from the after-party was...ugh, we can't even say it out loud. Oh, wait, we can.
Dressing down for the after-party, The Sky Is Pink actress changed into a maxi dress which was solid black till the waistline and completely sheer from the way down her waist. PC completed the look with an emerald green sling bag by Bvlgari and a pair of slim heels. She carried her makeup from the previous look with this one too. Oh, how we love that deep red lip!
But what we don't love is that dress on her. Made out of luxurious super-soft yarn, this sleeveless maxi dress features a mock turtleneck, body-skimming silhouette and oversized flowers on intricate sheer fabric. While the 'Rhea Dress' by the London-based ready-to-wear brand, Kukhareva, is an absolutely fine piece for a party--it just wasn't the right one for Priyanka. Check out her pictures in the outfit!
We don't think this dress was an ideal pick for PC's body type. Maybe it's our imagination, but she looks uncomfortable in it, too.
It would have made for an amazing OOTD for a Kendall Jenner, who apparently has requested this insanely popular number from the brand's Autumn/Winter 2020 collection in the past. So has Irina Shayk's stylist.
Come to think of it, Mrs Chopra Jonas has a tendency to kill it with her main event looks and break it with her after-party OOTNs. I mean look at her gorgeous off-shoulder gown, customised in the studios of NY-based designer Cristina Ottaviano, from the 77th Golden Globe Awards yesterday.
Now scroll back up to her after-party looks. Eh, eh?
Here are all the times the actress made a fashion faux pas' in 2019 at major International events.
That fluffy beautiful white tulle gown on the Cannes red carpet vs the glittering semi-sheer dress for the after-party. Her hair and makeup is common in both the looks here too, but at what cost?
Priyanka went all out with a custom Dior gown impressing us with the amount of crazy she brought to the Met Gala 2019. And then came her other Dior look from the after-party in an eye-shutting-sparkly dress. It was wrong on so many levels and you know it!
So, do we have a consensus on our hypothesis that PC doesn't put a lot of thought into her after-party outfits?
