After her last stint on the silver screen with The Sky Is Pink earlier this year, we’ve all been eagerly awaiting her next big project. Well, it looks like the movie gods have answered our prayers because our desi girl is all set for her next Hollywood release. And *drumroll* this time she’s starring opposite Keanu Reeves!
Yes! You heard that right! According to a popular magazine in the west, Priyanka is in final talks with the makers of The Matrix 4 and will soon sign the contract. The details of her character are not revealed yet.
The Matrix is a series of sci-fi movie first released in the year 1999. This movie was initially offered to Brad Pitt but was later offered to Keanu Reeves after Brad’s refusal.
Besides The Matrix 4, Priyanka is also set to star in a series called Citadel along with Game Of Thrones actor Richard Madden. This series is created by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Back home, she will soon be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in the movie adaptation of Arvind Adiga’s Man-Booker Prize-winning novel, The White Tiger, which recently wrapped up shooting.
Recently, Priyanka was in the news because she signed a ‘multi-million dollar first-look television deal’ deal with Amazon Prime and will be bringing desi representation to the global screen. “As both an actor and producer, I have always dreamt of an open canvas of creative talent coming together from all over the world to create great content irrespective of language and geography. This has always been the DNA of my production house Purple Pebble Pictures, and is the foundation of this exciting new endeavour with Amazon,” Priyanka wrote in an Instagram post.
Well, it certainly seems like our desi girl has her hands full! So who’s excited to see PC on the big Hollywood screen? We, for one, can’t wait!
