Actress Priyanka Chopra became an international star when she debuted as FBI agent Alex Parrish in American TV show, Quantico. Three years later, the singer and actress tied the knot with Nick Jonas, an American singer on December 1, 2018. Soon after their gorgeous ceremonies in Jodhpur, an article surfaced calling Priyanka Chopra a 'Global Scam Artist'. The article accused the actress of entrapping Nick Jonas as an orchestrated PR stunt and questioned if the two were really in love.
In the past six months, the actress hasn't commented on the article, nor has her husband Nick. But in a recent interview, she finally opened up about what went through her mind when she was called a global scam artist. When asked about how she and her family felt about the comment that was made, she said, "I didn't comment on it at the time. But I went up to the hotel room to find Nick, Joe, Sophie Turner and my mum furiously responding to the article on their phones. They were like, 'These b*******! How dare they?' I thought, 'I'm having a great moment, nothing is going to burst my bubble'." Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas also tweeted in support to PeeCee when the article was first published online.
In addition to this, Priyanka is often ridiculed for sharing pictures of her and Nick on social media. The actress shared her opinion on the matter saying that if she weren't a celebrity, it would be normal for her to share pictures of her husband on Instagram. "If I wasn't a famous person and I'd just got married, don't you think my Instagram would have photos of me and my husband?" she asked.
The two were last spotted together at the premiere of Chasing Happiness, a documentary on the life of the Jonas Brothers. Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in The Sky Is Pink, a film that the actress has produced and will star Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
