Even when she’s not aiming for it, Priyanka Chopra ends up becoming the trendsetter at any party. Fortunately, our desi-girl is at the most sparkly phase of her life at the moment and it makes sense that everything she touches or dons, becomes popular. While looking through the beauty looks from the 91st Academy Awards, I kept waiting for PeeCee’s picture to pop up but she was nowhere to be seen. However, later she shined in a black gown from Elie Saab Haute Couture at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party with her husband Nick Jonas.
Once again, Priyanka Chopra collaborated with her stylist Mimi Cuttrell and makeup artist Pati Dubroff for her Oscars look. You put these three together, and they’ll do wonders. Pati also did PC’s makeup when she was at the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and we can agree that her lavender look and eye makeup became the talk of the town for a while.
Pati often highlights Priyanka’s eye makeup. For the Oscars look, Pati initially wanted to take inspiration from the beadwork on PC’s gown, however, she ended up mixing and matching the makeup mood board with Priyanka’s Chopard earrings which were full of diamonds. Pati shared a picture of her face chart with a caption, “Set up and ready ….the face chart isn’t so neat but I will try to make it cleaner on the face! @jillstuartbeautyus @decortebeauty @augustinusbader @truebotanicals@surrattbeauty @lemonhead.la.”
PC’s eye makeup isn’t just one layer of glitter, it also includes a first layer of warm bronze-copper cream shadow, which is an ideal trick to keep in mind while applying dark or sparkly eyeshadow on dusky skin. Direct application of dark eyeshadows on the skin with a deeper tone may make it look grey and ashy. A warm shadow harmonizes the final look.
Then apply a clear balm on the lids to give them a glossy effect and later, add the eye-glitter to get that texture and shine. The next step is to apply eyeliner and if you want to create some dimension, as Pati did for PC, you can make the eyeliner thicker from one end of the eyes.
As always, to highlight PC’s iconic pout, Pati used a classic shade of pink for her which added some colour to her lips without distracting from the rest of the look. And finally, hairstylist Renato Campora finished Priyanka’s look with a chic yet loose updo. She looked uber glam!
