Recently, Priyanka Chopra Jonas attended the 15th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball and stunned the blue carpet in her red ensemble. You must be thinking – what’s new about PC looking stunning in an outfit. Well, there’s more to it this time. Held at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, the ball honoured our Desi Girl with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award for her philanthropic work. Isn’t it amazing?!
As a Goodwill Ambassador, Priyanka Chopra has been an activist of children’s rights all over the world. In May this year, she visited Ethiopia in Africa and spent a few days at the refugee camps there. Her work and career trajectory perfectly show that she wants to bring a positive change in the world. We couldn’t be more proud!
Talking about the theme of this year’s ball, the UNICEF USA ‘Grammed, “…the spotlight was on the humanitarian heroes of UNICEF who do whatever it takes to help children.” You will be glad to know that PC’s ambassadorship, along with others’, has helped UNICEF raise a record-breaking sum of $4.95 million! You go, girl!
A few hours ago, Priyanka shared the news on her Instagram as she wrote, “I am in awe of the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of the people who work for #UNICEF. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this journey. To serve as your Goodwill Ambassador is the privilege of my life.” To this, husband Nick Jonas’s reaction was all of ours too, “So inspired by you every day. Congratulations beautiful.”
For the ball, PC wore a hot solid red one-shoulder gown by Salvatore Ferragamo. The backless gown had a balloon sleeve and tie-up turtleneck. That’s so PCJ!
She kept her accessories limited to a gorgeous pair of diamond drop earrings and her big, beautiful engagement ring. ‘Coz that’s all she needed, right? As for hair and makeup, she went for a clean look – low ponytail and dewy fresh base with rust coloured lipstick.
The actress carried the look with a black overcoat to get through the chilly American December and a pair of metallic pumps. How high-street of her! Not to mention a stylish winter hack, am I right?
“Philanthropy today has gone beyond just funding projects. Be disruptive, show compassion and care, be catalytic in our actions and solutions.
