Two years ago, an incident occurred that made everyone wish it was an April Fool's hoax. However, it wasn't. Popular TV soap 'Balika Vadhu' actress, Pratyusha Banerjee hanged herself to death on the 1st of April, 2016. It has been two years since the shocking news made way to us and people are still waiting for the judicial system to come out with a verdict that will give her justice. No matter how long that will take, prayers and greetings from family and friends are still coming in.
Pratyusha's boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh, has allegedly been accussed of the actresses' death but no judgement has been passed by the judiciary on it, yet.
Her best friend, Kamya Punjabi took to Instagram to wish for justice on her 2nd death anniversary yesterday. Kamya seemed absolutely furious about not having even a single trial in these two years. In her post, she asked all her fans to not take their life for granted. Definitely not just for love. She asked Pratyusha to 'not rest in peace'. Here is what her full post reads:
2yrs n no trail also as yet! Dont laugh,i m not givin up, yes ur parents r miserable but “i hav complete faith in our juridical system” aise hi bolte hai na? To hell wit dat, value ur life kyuki aapki jaan ki yaha koi keemat nahi hai, people 4get n move on N U, You better dont rest in peace😡 Pls dont write abt my friendship wit her pls dont write RIP here agar kuch karna hai toh itna karo dont be blind in love, dont give up on urself, fight back, stop domestic voilence... just stop stop stop!!! Nothing n nobody is worth ur life! Bcoz when u die, there are hell lot people die with you!!! Breathe, stay alive!!! Life is beautiful 🙏
Kamya keeps thinking of her best friend and posts pictures with her every now and then. This is her post from last year where she seems to be missing her best friend a little too much!
Her co-star Neeraj Malviya was also seen remembering Pratyusha. Here is what he had to say:
कितने दिन गुज़र जाते बात किए बिना , फिर अचानक फ़ोन की घंटी बजती और रूठे शब्दों में लिपटा झूठा घुस्सा यक़ीन दिला जाता कि दर्द से दूरी के लिए एक दोस्त ही काफ़ी है । अब घंटी बजती नहीं कोई , यक़ीन भी अंतरिक्ष में खो सा गया है ..... काश .................
Vikas Gupta, ex-Bigg Boss contestant and TV producer also expressed his feelings on Twitter.
Today I lost a person I really liked . It’s been 2 years . People will forget cause life moves on , we all move on . Your death taught a lot value of life . May you rest in Peace pic.twitter.com/MaKdcrcEap

May her soul rest in peace. Hoping her family has the courage to deal with this loss!
