The year 2017 has been pretty big for Anushka Sharma. She had a successful year professionally, she launched her own brand NUSH, and she even entered the nuptial bliss with Virat Kohli. Amidst all these happy news, here came another big announcement for the lovely lady. The results for PETA 2017 Person of the Year Award has just been announced and newlywed Anushka Sharma has bagged the title for her wide-reaching work for animals.
Anushka is a proud animal rights proponent. Some of her recent efforts include launching her cruelty-free clothing line NUSH, launching the campaign PAWsitive to raise awareness about the suffering fireworks cause to animals, demanding a ban on cruel carriage rides in Mumbai through Twitter and many more. Previously, Anushka was also named PETA’s Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity in 2015.
