Parth Samthaan aka Anurag Basu, who is the main lead in the remake of Kasautii Zindagi Kay, has decided to move on from the show. Parth had tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago. The actor had started shooting for the show, and was working on the sets. However, after reports of actor contracting coronavirus came out, shooting was immediately stopped and the crew members who were in close contact with him were asked to undergo tests.
The actor took time to recover, and recently announced that he tested negative. He shared the news on his Instagram handle, saying, “As you all know by now…my reports are negative and I feel much better. Thank you all for keeping me in your prayers. Thanks a ton…God bless you!
The actor resumed shooting for Kasautii Zindagi Kay last week after recovering from COVID-19. However, rumour has it that Parth has decided to quit the show. Yes, you read that right! According to a popular daily, Parth has decided to quit the show in order to focus on his health and to make time for new projects.
According to the report, Ekta Kapoor is trying to convince Parth to stay and continue his journey, but the production house is looking for a new actor to play the lead in place of him. “Parth wants to now direct his attention towards his health and the other projects he is in talks with. Ekta Kapoor has been trying to persuade Parth into retainment but the actor has expressed his wish to opt-out. The production, in the meantime, has already started to consider actors to step in Parth’s shoes but are finding it difficult,” said a close source.
The show has been doing extremely well on screen and recently introduced Karan Patel as the iconic Mr Bajaj. Karan Singh Grover was to initially take on the role but he declined it due to the COVID-19 crisis.
