We were all geared up for the two big releases on the 25th of January - Padmaavat and PadMan. But looks like we'll have to wait to watch Akshay Kumar on the big screen.
Recent reports suggest that Bhansali dropped by to meet Akshay Kumar and requested him to push the release date of PadMan. The Khiladi revealed:
“I was rehearsing for my performance at an upcoming awards show when Sanjay Bhansali came to meet me today. He said he is going through a lot of stress and will be in big trouble if Padmaavat will clash with Pad Man. He requested for postponing Pad Man. I have worked with him in two films, and when someone you have worked with requests like this, it is very difficult to say no.”
The cast of the film- Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor took to Twitter to thank the actor.

For those of you wondering, PadMan is now all set to hit screens on 9th February. While we were looking forward to watch both the movies during the Republic Day weekend, it only seems fair that Padmaavat gets its own moment after all the controversies.
