What's The Big Deal, I'm Not A Virgin Either: Nehha Pendse On Her Husband's Divorce

Recently, our social media was filled with stunning pictures from TV actor and former Bigg Boss star, Nehha Pendse's Pune wedding. She tied the knot with businessman, Shardul Singh Bayas, in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony. However, many pointed fingers at the couple because he is a divorcee with two daughters.

In a recent interview, talking about the same, Nehha opened up saying, "What’s the big deal about this? Today, many of us are getting married late because of various reasons, including the focus on career. A lot of people end up having more than one relationship before finally tying the knot."

She stressed on the fact that it is perfectly normal for people to be with whoever they want to before they finally decide on settling down.

The Bigg Boss season 12 star, further added, "The commitment, love and physical proximity could be the same as it is in a marriage, the only difference is that there is no legal stamp over it. So, why are people talking about Shardul being a divorcee? It’s not that I am a virgin either."

She praised him about taking chances with women he loved unlike in her case where the men vanished just before the relationship could have culminated into marriage.

Nehha said, "At least, Shardul is not commitment-phobic. I salute him for his undying faith in the institution of marriage, it is easy to not believe in it after two failed marriages. That shows that he is a man of substance unlike those who fear the idea of getting married. I also feel that if a marriage is not working out, one should end it rather than drag on."

Before making it official, the couple lived together and that's why, she says, this transition would be seamless.

Nehha also added, "We truly love each other. The beautiful part about the relationship is that we consciously decided to be in a live-in before getting married as we wanted our journey to be very seamless. Because of this, we feel that we are already well settled with each other. So, nothing changes in our life post marriage. We are now just officially married to each other."

She even admitted that she doesn't know what the future truly holds for them and that relationships and marriages can fail even if they're very strong.

The May I Come In Madam actor added, "Janam-janam ka saath is restricted to just films, real life is a lot more than that. On the positive side, I think Shardul won’t make the mistakes that a rookie husband might. He knows better what works in a marriage and what doesn’t. He will know before me when we have headed in the wrong direction and will guide me through."

We don't think it's anyone's business if she decides to marry a person who has been married before. A relationship is about trust, commitment, and love and as long as that's there, the rest doesn't matter. We're so happy that Nehha is being so candid about her life, kudos. Congratulations to the newlyweds on their union, you guys make an adorable couple.
