The relentless rainfall continues in Mumbai and surrounding areas, leading to waterlogging and traffic issues. Mumbai received 85% of its average rainfall for the month of June in just four days. On account of which the CM’s office had declared a 2-day holiday for all Mumbaikars and advised them to stay indoors.

Several districts of Mumbai experienced flooding, and more than 30 people died across Maharashtra in rain-related incidents. Amidst all this mayhem, one act of compassion by a Mumbai police officer has come to light and the internet is beyond ecstatic.

Mumbai Police released a video on Twitter, in which a police cop, PC Prakash Pawar, can be seen rescuing a dog from flood waters. This heartwarming video went viral on social media and netizens can’t stop lauding the officer. The post was captioned, “Man’s best friend, found its best friend in PC Prakash Pawar too. #FriendsIndeed”

In the video, a dog can be seen swimming towards the officer who scoopes him in his arms and takes him to a raised platform. The post has already amassed over 3,700 retweets and 18,000 likes within 24 hours. Tweeple had all nice things to say about the kind PC Prakash Pawar.
