Late last year, Ekta Kapoor decided to remake the show Kasautii Zindagii Kay which featured iconic characters like Komolika, Prerna Sharma and Anurag Basu. And while the three characters have made quite an impact, especially Hina Khan’s portrayal of Komolika, the audience has been looking forward to the entry of Mr Bajaj.
While Komolika proved to be the perfect barrier between Anurag (Parth Samthaan) and Prerna (Erica Fernandes), Hina Khan’s exit to pursue a career in Bollywood cut short her stint on the show. The actress was apparently ‘killed off the show’, but reports suggest that she may return once she is done shooting her next film.
For now, the TV show is prepping for the entry of Mr Bajaj, the grey character who ends up marrying Prerna in the long run. Actor Karan Singh Grover has been confirmed to play the role of Mr Bajaj, stepping into the shoes of Ronit Roy who had played the character in its first instalment.
In a recent clip released by the channel, the silhouette of Mr Bajaj can be seen casting a shadow on Prerna and Anurag who are finally tying the knot! In the past, the show’s teasers have varied greatly from the actual scenes that are telecast.
Reports say that Mr Bajaj’s grand entry is being shot in Switzerland, alongside the lead pair, Prerna (Erica Fernandes) and Anurag (Parth Samthaan).
