Mohena Kumari, aka Keerti from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, got engaged to Suyesh Rawat in a lavish beach ceremony on the shores on Goa in February 2019. The dancer (who is also the princess of Rewa and runs a successful YouTube channel called Rimorav Vlogs) just released her engagement video and it will leave you wishing for a beach wedding!
The happy couple is a match made by their brothers! “My brother told his brother about me. The families liked each other and here we are. I have always wanted an arranged marriage. I would have never got married to someone in the industry, as I don’t think that I would have found a like-minded person,” the actress revealed.
Everything about the engagement feels like a fairytale! From the groom going down on his knee to presenting the ring to Mohena’s gorgeous dance performance. The two can be seen dancing by the beach with friends and family at the Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa, Goa in this beautiful engagement video.
The actress’ friends from the show also flew down to Goa for the engagement, including Rishi Dev and Gaurav Wadhwa, both of whom run the YouTube channel Rimorav with her. The other guests at the engagement included Amey Mehta, Shampa Gopikrishna, Kruti Mahesh, Bertwin Ravi Dsouza and Dhanisa Shende.
In an interview with a leading newspaper, the actress confirmed that her wedding will take place soon, “Yes, I am getting married and will be going on a long break when I will be tying the knot in the next two months or so.”
She also revealed that she is going to quit acting to prepare for her wedding and travel, “Post marriage, I will say goodbye to acting and Mumbai. My life is all set to take a 180 degree turn. I am excited and nervous at the same time. Even my industry friends were taken aback with my decision, but that’s the kind of person I am. I follow my heart. I have taken several leaps of faith in my life and this is the biggest so far.”
The wedding will take place by the end of this year, Mohena revealed in an interview, “The sangeet is on October 13 and the wedding will take place on October 14 in Haridwar. A reception and my bidaai will take place on November 9 and 10 in Rewa.”
