As the film completes two years, Shahid thanked his fans for accepting his ‘most-flawed character’ and making the film his ‘most successful’ one yet. “Thank you for making the most broken and flawed character my most successful film,” he said during a live session.
During the live, fans asked the Jab We Met actor for his wife’s reaction to the film and his role. To which he jokingly replied that she rated the film as a thumbs down. However, he later added, “She was very supportive. In fact, she was the one who encouraged me to take up the role and be a part of the movie.” Uh, okay. Then why did she give a thumbs down to the movie?
Shahid hasn’t worked on any other project after Kabir Singh. Wondering when you’d get to see the actor in a movie next? Well, you don’t have to wait for long. The Padmaavat star is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film Jersey. The film is an official remake of a Telugu film by the same name and is based on the life of a cricketer who emerges from giving up on the game to becoming a hero. Jersey is all set to release on Diwali 2021.
