Man Proposes To GF By Editing Himself Into A Disney Movie & We’re Swooning!

We all want a Prince Charming, don’t we? That whole fantasy about the dreamy man sweeping us off our feet is real. I don’t know if it was reading fairytales as a child or being fed epic love stories on the big screen that did this to us, but how much ever we deny it, it’s true that we all want that over the top love at the end of the day.

Meet Lee Loechler from Boston, who is setting some unreal standards of expressing love. But, we just can’t get enough of this proposal.

Proposals on vacations are what everyone goes for be it Paris or Maldives, but this guy has taken romance up a notch. It was more than just a typical date night when Lee Loechler of Boston brought his girlfriend, Sthuthi David, to the theatre. He was going to pop the big question, which was a cinematic spectacle six months in the making.

He’s a filmmaker who has worked with big names like John Legend and Chrissy Teigen on commercials and wanted to put his skills to good use. He decided that he’s going to illustrate himself and his soon-to-be fiancée into Disney’s classic, Sleeping Beauty.

He completed the elaborate proposal along with the movie theater and filmed the final product to keep for posterity. Now, the video has gone viral and millions of people across the world have been viewing it and gushing over it.

Through the movie, Loechler waited anxiously before his moment arrived. And at the end of the story when Prince Phillip kisses Aurora to wake up the sleeping princess — but in Loechler’s version, an animation of himself and Sthuthi replaced the two main characters.

In the video, she obviously looks confused and surprised when she realises that the animated characters look very different. On the big screen, a now-smirking Prince Lee opens an engagement ring box — a departure from the fairytale’s storyline — then appears to toss it out toward the audience.

He then stands up and pretends to catch the box and turns to the love of his life and says, “It’s not every day you get to propose to your high school sweetheart — so I’m gonna take my time.”

At the end of it, Sthuthi even laughed and said that she thought there was something wrong with the movie.
