With her latest outing, Malaika gave way to an all-important question: how much red is too much red? Turns out nothing is too E-X-T-R-A for the Bollywood diva who rocked a glam saree by designer Misha Lakhani. Beautifully draped and with some extra fabric falling back her shoulder no less, the actress carried the pleated six yards with elegance to spare.

Speaking of elegance, neat pleats could be seen in the saree too, and because no look is really complete without a touch of uniqueness, a cinched waist made way for a chic look. In terms of jewellery, a classic yet ornate silver neckpiece from ‘Roopa Vohra Fine Jewellery’ added emphasis to her overall look, while her makeup was kept on-point to give her a glow. A low bun at the nape of her neck rounded off her look perfectly. The actress was styled by Maneka Harisinghani, the same stylist who has been helping the diva serve some major fashion looks for quite some time now.
Malaika Arora’s smashing red saree was worn for the Dwijing Festival, a 12-day fest that celebrates the culture of Assam. Keeping in mind the event and its relevance, her traditional look with a twist was apt, to say the least, and we can’t get enough of the hot colour that is this scarlet red.
