Laagi Tujhse Lagaan actress Mahhi Vij and actor husband Jay Bhanushali are expecting their first baby! The couple tied the knot in 2011, and waited eight years before planning a child. On May 24, Jay shared a picture on Instagram announcing their pregnancy in an adorable post. However, this happy announcement was followed by a lot of hate messages that began to haunt Mahhi on social media. Rumours were that the actress had issues with fertility and that was the reason behind her pregnancy after 8 years.
The 37-year-old actress has had enough, because she shared an honest post addressing these rumours that attacked her and her husband. In her caption she wrote, “After so many messages on infertility!! I want to put this straight to all…that I was not going through any infertility issue !! It was my soul decision to wait and be a better child myself and do all my duties….I had my own share of responsibilities towards my parents…to have a child is beautiful…but to be a responsible child is much more…I choose the later…..be a good child to have one… enjoy cheers 🥂#daughterfirst #motherhood.”
Jay Bhanushali also commented on this post and so did their friends from the industry to support Mahi.
The couple isn’t new to parenthood though; they often share pictures of the two children of their household help who they have taken responsibility for. Jay and Mahhi fund their fund their education and love spending time with them.
In an interview with an entertainment website Mahhi said that she will give all her kids the same life, “A lot of people keep asking my friends if they are our kids because we feel that they are our kids. We want to give the best in our capabilities. I don’t care what people say they have all the time in the world to talk. They stay with us we have no issues of them being a part of our space. Kids are adorable, Jay and I love them. We want to educate them and yes in the future even if we have our own kids we will give the same life. We will not differentiate.”
