Karan Johar, the man who defined love for many generations, agrees that some of his opinions might be flawed! The brain behind movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and My Name Is Khan, has advocated some pretty unethical ideas of romance. We've already established how Rahul was essentially a fuckboy who liked Anjali only when she began to dress like a 'girl'. But it does come as a surprise that the filmmaker agrees that his idea of romance does not work well in the real world!
Recently, during the launch of a show he hosts on a popular radio channel, the director stated, "In retrospect, when I look back and see some parts of my movies I cringe and feel terrible that I actually subjected an audience to those portions. Some of them got fortunate, other parts in those films made them reach a certain success mark."
He added, "I'm not proud and happy with each and every one of them. I am yet to make a film that I entirely love." Karan Johar went on to talk about the fact that his advise isn't always fool-proof, though people look up to him as a relationship expert, he also admitted to have broken up a few relationships.
On the radio show, Karan Johar plays a love guru, imparting wisdom to those in need. "We have a disclaimer in the beginning that I'm not a professionally trained individual, so my advice should be taken at that level. But I give extremely sincere advice and I've broken a few relationships," he confessed.
It's nice to see that the director is being honest and isn't afraid to call out relationships that are turning toxic. We hope he implements the same practicality in his movies as well.
