Gone are the days when the usage of vending machines was limited to snacks, candies and teddies. Kerala, early this year became the first state to install a sanitary pad vending machine and now, we have moved to something more interesting. Yes, we’re talking about the newly launched lingerie vending machine.
Radhika Goenka, heiress of the Welspun Group and the owner of Lingerie Shop, has launched India’s very first lingerie vending machine and it’s brilliant. It allows you to buy and return the product with a click. It features the sub-brand of The Lingerie Shop, Be Mine. An all-black collection called Fifty Shades of Black, will re-introduce you to your sexy side. And this beautiful lingerie doesn’t need any pre-ordering. The machine will stock all sizes.
Radhika shared, “There is a stereotype attached to buying lingerie in public. I want to break that. We won't know until we try, will we? Also, the products in the vending machine are fully packaged — it's not like you'll be pulling out a bra or panty in public. What's inside the box is known only to you,”
The reason behind this ace idea? “Women today desire a product that is both stylish and comfortable. Our brand has been conceptualized and created as an answer to this basic aspiration also with the added convenience,” Radhika told a publication.
So no more hush-hush lingerie shopping, you’ll be getting it at Vama on Peddar Road or Welspun House in Kamala Mills, Lower Parel in Mumbai for now.
Cheers to all the stunning lingerie and the vending machine that’ll make our lives much, much easier!
