Cricketer Hardik Pandya was slammed for his sexist and misogynist remarks on Koffee With Karan where he appeared with K L Rahul. On the talk show, he shared details of his relationship with women. Hardik Pandya said, "My family has been open about everything. When I lost my virginity, I came home and said, 'Main karke aya hai aaj'." When Karan Johar asked him why he doesn't ask women their names, he replied, "I like to watch and observe how they move. I'm little from the Black side so I need to see how they move." He went on to tell another incident, "At a party, my parents asked me 'acha tera waala (women) kaun sa hai.' So, I said 'Yeh, yeh, yeh' (pointing out all the women he had slept with), and they were like 'Waah, proud of you, beta'."
Soon after the episode aired, the two were immediately called out by the BCCI. They were suspended and taken off the team. Later, however, the suspension was lifted but this episode put a dent on Hardik's reputation.
Recently, popular TV actress Krystle D'Souza took to Instagram to share a picture with Hardik Pandya. The two were mercilessly trolled after Krstyle wrote a caption that read, "Mere Bhai Jaisa Koi Hard ich Nahi Hai 🤙🏻 . #brotherfromanothermother"
Her feed was flooded with comments dissing Hardik with reference to the Koffee With Karan episode.
