We have become so used to sharing just the good and positive aspects of our lives on social media, that anything remotely different brings us a great shock. Something similar happened when actress Kriti Kulhari announced separation from her husband, Saahil Sehgal. After witnessing some of the most beautiful Bollywood weddings, including that of Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi, and Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, the revelation of this detail left several fans heartbroken.
Today, The Girl On The Train actress shared a heartfelt note on her social media handles that revealed that she and her husband have decided to separate. She added that the decision has not been finalised on papers but they have parted ways in life. She wrote, "A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil and I have decided to separate. Not on paper, but in life."
Kriti and Saahil tied the knot in 2016. She said in her statement that while the decision to split is painful and difficult, it's a reality nonetheless. Kriti wrote, "A decision that's probably harder than the decision of 'being with somebody,' because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about. And the decision of 'not being with somebody' brings along pain and hurt to the same people. It's not easy. Guess it's not meant to be easy but IT IS WHAT IT IS."
While talking about her current well-being, Kriti said that she's in a good place and will not be making any further statement. "To all those who really care, I am in a good place and I hope everyone who matters in my is too. Will not be commenting further on this. Upward and onward...always," she wrote.
Several close friends poured in their love and extended their support in the comment section.
The Pink actress, in the past, had opened up about her marriage and said that her relationship with her husband had affected her career in the best way possible. She had said in an interview with a leading daily, "My marriage has affected my career in the best possible way. I have a husband who knows much more than me about films. I have learnt so much from him. We watch a movie and discuss things. I grew so much as a person and as an actor and all the apprehensions I had before my marriage, were all broken by him. He has supported me in the most amazing way and helped me reach where I am today. Even my in-laws supported me blindly which means a lot to me."
More power to Kriti for doing what's best for her!
