It was just last week that Suhana Khan deleted an Instagram picture shortly after posting it. She then went on restricting her comment section as well because of all the problematic comments on her profile. Well, that’s the thing about being a star kid. You get to enjoy your parents’ celebrity status, but also their share of the public scrutiny. And God forbid if you are a woman that too in India!
From Suhana to Aaliyah Kashyap, so many celeb kids in the past few months have talked about social media trolling. All these women are constantly being told what to wear, how to behave, and, ironically, how to look. Now, Krishna Jackie Shroff is the latest to face the social media heat.
It all started after she posted a picture carousel of her wearing a bikini. Krishna is a fitness enthusiast and she runs a fitness centre. So she often shares pictures of in shorts and bikinis to document her gains and show off her ripped muscles. And when she posted a new picture, friends and followers started praising her for the gloriously ripped muscles. However, a troll casually ignored all of that and decided to call her out for what she was wearing and compared her sanskaar with her brother’s. “Madam aapka bhai tiger kitna acha h aur aap utni hi bekar apko shram nhi aati ye pic aapke papa mammi nhi dekhte kya (Madam, your brother Tiger is so good and you are equally worthless. Are you not ashamed? Don’t your parents see such posts),” the troll wrote.
Well, the troll clearly messed with the wrong woman. Not one to take nonsense from random strangers, Krishna gave him a fitting reply. She wrote: “Sir, thank you so much for your concern, but you can kindly f**k off. Thank you. Someone translate my message for the dude. Thanks.”
But doesn’t Tiger keep posting shirtless pics all the time? No, we’re not shaming him. And certainly, not saying that there is anything wrong with it. Of course, he can wear (or not) whatever the hell he wants. But the troll legit just tried shaming Krishna for wearing a bikini and told her that Tiger is so much better than her, and he doesn’t bring any “shame” to the family unlike her. The troll was clearly so invested in shaming Krishna that they beat themselves by their own logic! But then again, that’s exactly what patriarchy does: shame women for the exact same thing that men do and get praised for!
So glad that Krishna asked this troll to F*** off. Well deserved, we’d say!
