Cream Skin

Cream skin is a popular Korean trend that’s gonna save you a lot of time and money. Unlike other k-beauty trends, you don’t need to follow a 10-step routine.

Opt for a featherweight facial product (with a milky consistency) that’s a hybrid of a toner and a moisturizer and apply it all over your face. It will give you hydrated and dewy completion but not super oily that you’d need a mattifying product to control the oil. This trend combines the softening power of a toner, added with moisturizing properties to give you a dewy finish in no time. Perfect for the girl on the go. Top it off with your fave foundation, concealer or blush to give you that luminous complexion you’ve been dreaming of!

Glass Skin

There’s glowing skin and then there’s skin that appears to be reflective – that’s glass skin for you. Glass skin is one of the most popular Korean beauty trends  to date. It’s also one of the hardest to nail. A quick search on YouTube will lead you to thousands of “glass-skin routines.” While glass-skin definitely isn’t a quick fix, it’s worth the effort.

Step 1: Cleansing

Start by cleansing your face with a mild cleanser. Since we are aiming to get glowing yet smooth skin, use a gritty facial scrub to exfoliate.

Step 2: Essence

Instead of using a toner, use a facial essence to increase moisture retention in your skin and add a subtle glow.

Step 3: Facial Serum

Next, use a facial serum that’s enriched with required antioxidants and keep woes at bay.

Step 4: Sheet Mask

A sheet mask for an added dose of moisture and skincare.

Step 5: Facial Cream

By the fifth step, you’ll notice that your skin is gleaming and super shiny. Apply a generous dose of an oil-based cream or night cream and sport that glass skin.

You can also add more steps into this such as spritzing your face with a revitalizing spray, a lip mask and even using an under eye serum. Here are a few products you can use to ace the trend.

Under Eye Blush

Most of us use blush to add a pinch of colour to our cheeks or for a rosy glow, but Korean women use blush in a totally different way. The latest Korean beauty trend that’s winning the internet is using a bright blush under our eyes and honestly, it is G.E.N.I.U.S! This is inspired by the popular *Japanese hangover blush* that was a huge thing on the Instagram a few months ago. All you need to do is apply a lovely shade of bright blush under your eyes (avoid your cheeks) and that’s it. It’ll draw attention to your face in the most beautiful way possible and provides a minimalistic but a lovely glow on your face instantly. Just add multiple coats of mascara and use a lip tint to complete you look.
