Her Life, Her Rules: Kiara Advani Hits Back After Being Trolled For Wearing Rs 70k Shoes

Kiara Advani has had the best year in Bollywood so far and she’s obviously super stoked about it. The year started with Kiara’s dance on the supremely popular song First Class. Even though her film Kalank wasn’t a hit, her dance number was loved by audiences. Then came the polarising film, Kabir Singh, which made her a star overnight. While it did land up in controversies, it cannot be denied that the film was a commercial success. And that’s not all, she ended the year on a high, starring alongside Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh in Good Newwz.

During the promotion of Good Newwz, in one of her airport looks, Kiara sported a black Givenchy tracksuit along with a clean ponytail, nude lipstick, and chic, black sunglasses. However, the thing that was amping up her outfit was her white and pink Prada heels which cost a whopping Rs. 70,000.

People were quick to comment on the actor’s shoes for wearing shoes that were so expensive and trolled the Kabir Singh star extensively.

However, hitting back at the trolls, she said that not only did she love the shoes but so did one of the film’s producers. “I am just being myself. I think I enjoy dressing up immensely. I wear what I wear to make myself happy. I was that kid who wore the shiniest clothes,” she said in an interview with an entertainment website.

She added, “Not just me, one of my forthcoming film’s producer too loved them. And, he loved them so much that he said I should wear it in one of the upcoming songs in his film. Let’s see. I might. Get ready to troll me again.”

Talking about trolling culture in general, Kiara concluded saying, “Everybody has an opinion, but what’s important is what you like for yourself today, with the boom of social media, there’s so much being written about everything. So for me, for a lack of a better word, I would not want to care about what everybody else is thinking.”

Trolling has become an everyday phenomenon for many celebrities and that’s something we must pay more attention to. Just because one is behind a screen and the other may be too far doesn’t make it okay to say nasty things to them. Celebrities also get affected by our words and actions, so it is important that we stay kind and spread positivity rather than hate.
