Kiara Advani Reveals How She Prepared For The Masturbation Scene In Lust Stories

Kiara Advani, the actress who was last seen in Karan Johar’s Kalank, made quite a mark last year with her small, yet significant, role in Lust Stories. Kiara was a part of the storyline directed by Karan Johar, which also starred Vicky Kaushal.

The scene that gained her popularity overnight was Kiara masturbating with a vibrator to the title track of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham because her husband was unable to satisfy her sexually. On actress Neha Dhupia’s chat show, the actress, who was also part of the same storyline on Lust Stories, asked Kiara how she ‘climax so beautifully on camera.’

Kiara said that she owes it all to Karan Johar! “Karan Johar showed me how to do everything, but that scene. He wanted me to be uninhibited. He made sure there was a very small unit on screen. He didn’t want me to laugh. I was so nervous the night before, and I had actually Googled how do people use a vibrator. I watched a couple of scenes from films like The Ugly Truth, to see what it was all about,” she replied.

“Do it very sincerely. Let it be real. Let your eyes roll,” was the advice that Karan Johar gave her. “Don’t try to do it in a funny way, try to play it in a realistic way. It is an awkward situation in the film and I am trying to cover up what has happened,” he added.

Previously, the actress also revealed how her grandmother reacted when she watched the scene for the first time. “She’s part British, so there were certain jokes that she didn’t get. She was reading it with the subtitles. Everyone else was laughing, there were a lot of reactions of the people watching. When my grandmother was watching it, she was watching it with a straight face, like deadpan,” she said.

Kiara has on various occasions spoken about how there is nothing wrong with showing lust on-screen, and we have nothing to be ashamed of. “It is good that everything is being shown instead of forcefully trying to hide it. At the end of the day, lust is a by-product of love,” the actress said.

On the work front, Kiara Advani will next be seen in Sandeep Vanga’s Kabir Singh, a remake of the Telugu film, Arjun Reddy, in which she will star opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film is slated to release on June 21, 2019.
