Ekta Kapoor’s second instalment of Kasautii Zindagii Kay has been going through a lot of changes with the negative lead of the show Hina Khan quitting to pursue a career in Bollywood. However, it looks like Komolika aka Hina Khan’s exit has worked in the favour of Kasautii Zindagii Kay! The show is now officially the most watched show on Indian television, according to the TRP rating from the last week. “As you can see, no show is even close to 2.6 as we are, according to BARC ratings. It is really nice to see this response,” Erica Fernandes, who plays the lead, Prerna Sharma in the show, told an entertainment website.
The latest BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre) has released a report which states that Kasautii Zindagii Kay is topping charts with a rating of 2.6. Last week, the show surpassed the ratings of Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, Zee’s most popular shows thar have a rating of 2.4. The top contender for this spot was Mouni Roy’s Naagin 3; however, the show is now at the third spot.
To celebrate, Erica Fernandes, also shared Instagram stories thanking the team of Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
“Yes, there were people complaining about the storyline. But it is working and people love it. The story is unfolding in such a way that it is creating a lot of curiosity. It is not completely the same as the previous season. So people are hooked to the new twists. They are keen to know what is going to happen next. So there is a lot of buildup with all our scenes and episodes. Viewers want more and that is why our TRP is on the increase,” Erica Fernandes said.
Erica also thanked her team’s effort in the commendable performance of the show, “We are very happy that all of our efforts are paying off so well. It is a complete team effort. No one can single-handedly take credit for it. It is the complete team that has worked day and night and put in all efforts, right from the writers, screenwriters, directors, creative team, artists and technicians. I would really want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us. Keep us on Number 1 and we will continue to give our best.”
“It has been really wonderful working for this team and show. The team has been very positive, full of energy. We all support each other and never put anyone down. We aim to do our best and that is what I really love about this team,” Erica added.
