Here's How You Do Nude Makeup Right, Feat. Kareena Kapoor Khan!

Today, on Instagram, Kareena Kapoor Khan is the breath of fresh air we needed so badly! We've been talking a lot about monotone makeup and what it means. There's always a thin line either doing too little or doing too much. Well, thanks to Kareena Kapoor Khan and her makeup artist, we have an example that can be spoken about. For an event recently Kareena want in a bright sunshine yellow Tome NYC ensemble, which by itself was perfect for the gloomy weather. But to be honest, I was low key obsessed with the way her makeup looked.

Let's talk about it a little more.

Base

Kareena's entire makeup look was a combination of different shades of nudes and brown. Her base was matte followed by a slight contour and highlight. The blush was swapped with a minimal dusting of bronzer for a barely there look.

Eyes

She had on a basic matte smokey eye blended perfectly. I love the fact that even though the eyeshadow was smoked out, it was still not OTT and there wasn't a hint of black on the lid. She lined her lash line and waterline with her signature black kohl but again smudged it out with brown instead of black. Finally, a generous coat or two of mascara, and Kareena's eyes were the chocolate goodness that we needed!

Lips

Finally stepping away from the matte everywhere else, they opted from a cream finish nude lippie to finish off the look!

Hair

Honestly, this is what brought the look together. The messy bun with a bouffant was just what was needed to take the attention away from her hair and bring it to her face and eyes. And of course, it doesn't hurt that she has one of the most amazing jawlines in the business!

I finally have an example when I talk about monotone makeup and it isn't my own picture from the 90s!

Here are some products that I think could be used to recreate this look.
