We have all heard the cliche saying ‘age is just a number’ and yet we feel compelled to use it today given that it is Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s 40th birthday and this one really does live up to the adage. That said, Kareena’s birthday is all the more special this year because Bebo is pregnant with her second child right now. And well if there’s anything that the Taimur phenomenon has taught us, it is that Bebo and everything related to her is always a huge deal.
Well, that’s exactly the spirit in which Kareena decided to ring into her 40s amid an intimate albeit grand celebrations at home. Kareena’s ‘Fabulous 40’ celebration as it has been dubbed by the Kapoor clan started right on time with the fam ringing in her birthday at midnight. Karisma Kapoor took to Instagram earlier today to give us a sneak-peek into Bebo’s midnight birthday celebrations where she can be seen surrounded by her loved ones including Saif, Karisma, and her parents, Babita and Randhir Kapoor.
All set in the party mode, Karisma also shared a picture of her with daughter Samiera as the two made a rather suave duo in their black outfits:
Our favourite pick from the celebrations? Kareena’s birthday cake featuring a fondant doll dressed in a red full-length midi dress (Bebo’s signature style)! In fact, just like her fondant doll, Kareena too could be seen flaunting a breezy, balloon sleeved midi in the pics. Particularly on our fashion radar happen to be the maroon tassels and the chequered details of her otherwise floral, pistachio green dress.
A clean face and an airy dress, we say that’s just the midnight celebration vibes that we have been looking for.

But that’s not it. Observing the 40s as a huge milestone, Kareena went all reflective on her birthday eve and posted a black and white picture of herself along with an important message. She wrote, “As I enter my 40th year… I want to sit back, reflect, love, laugh, forgive, forget and most importantly pray and thank the strongest force up there for giving me the strength and thank my experiences and decisions for making me the woman I am… Some right, some wrong, some great, some not so… but still, hey BIG 40 make it BIG.”
