OMG! Another red carpet? Hell, yeah! We can’t get enough of all the A-list celebrities wearing couture! The 72nd Cannes Film Festival – AKA the festival that has a reputation for bringing out the extravagant side of celebs – has kicked off in Cannes. Our Bollywood stars have started arriving in their finest best. The festival is currently underway and our B-Town favourites Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone will soon walk down the red carpet.
While TV actress Hina Khan has already set the stage on fire, our Bollywood Queen, Kangana Ranaut, will soon be seen strutting down the red carpet. Kangana is attending the film festival for the second time. The Manikarnika actress took to Instagram to give her fans a sneak peek of her look. She shared a picture just a few hours ago and captioned it, “First day, first look. The calm before the storm! #LiveVictoriously #Greygooselife #KanganaAtCannes #Queenatcannes #Cannes2019”
Just as Kangana piqued her fan’s curiosity, her team shared a glimpse of her final look on Instagram, with the caption: “THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED!!”

The actress’ team, stylist Ami Patel and designers Falguni And Shane Peacock have created a unique saree for her. Speaking about her outfit in an earlier interview, Kangana said, “Ami and I are very conscious of dying weaves and poor condition of our Indian weavers. So, we have collectively decided to endorse our own. Even though I will be wearing various outfits, the sari will be the biggest highlight.”
And, we couldn’t agree more! She looks nothing less than a queen in that golden ensemble. Along with her custom made Kanjivaram saree, Kangana also donned a pair of purple gloves. Her look was accessorised with an embossed kamarband and her hair was immaculately tied in a bun, with a twirled flick on the side. Doesn’t she look resplendent in her desi avatar? We’re sure she’s going to grab eyeballs while taking ‘the walk’ down the red carpet.

Kangana Ranaut, who gained around 10kg for her role in the movie Panga, has now lost 5kg in 10 days. She took up a drastic workout regime for her red carpet appearance. Because her designers wanted a leaner physique, Kangana felt the need to shed some kilos ahead of the festival. The actress will be present at the festival from 16-18 May and has claimed that her clothes will reflect the theme ‘Live Victoriously’.
