Controversy queen Kangana Ranaut had stirred up a huge media storm during her interviews for the movie, Judgementall Hai Kya. She got into a fight with a reporter and matters escalated quickly. Kangana's next is a biopic called Thalaivi, which is based on the life of the late politician Jayalalithaa, the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
In order to transition into her new role, the actress has flown to Los Angeles to visit Jason Collin's prosthetics studio. Jason is one of Hollywood's renowned personalities and has worked on movies like Captain Marvel and Blade Runner in the past. He is currently helping Kangana and her team create the perfect prosthetic-face for the movie. The actress shared a photo of herself at a prosthetic studio in LA.
After seeing Kangana covered in this blue and green paste, fans have expressed appreciation, awe and concern for Kangana.
Comments like "OMG, can she even breathe"
"That's a lot to go through"
"Difficult job, kudos to you"
Kangana announced the launch of the movie on her birthday earlier in March. She was very excited to be a part of the film, “Jayalalithaaji is one of the biggest female success stories of this century. She was a superstar and went on to become an iconic politician, it’s a great concept for a mainstream film. I am honoured to be a part of this mega project. I was working on my own biopic, but her (Jayalalithaa) story is very similar to my story. In fact, it is a bigger success story than mine. When I heard the narration of this film, I found many similarities between both the stories. So when I had the option to do a film based on her story or my story, I decided on the former.”
If rumours are to be believed, the actress is charging a bomb for her role in the movie. She is set to be the Tamil and Hindi face of the movie and she is said to have quoted a whopping 24 crore for the movie. "Kangana is being paid to the tune of Rs 24 crore for the bilingual project, which will be made in Hindi and Tamil. The makers are sure that her star power will help reach a pan-India audience. Whenever Hindi artistes have done South movies, they have always shared screen space with a top star from the region. But the Manikarnika heroine will be leading from the front as the movie revolves around her character's journey. The producers have already signed a contract with her," revealed a source to an entertainment daily.
All the best, Kangana! We're looking forward to Thalaivi.
