Recently, Dhadak actress Janhvi Kapoor was criticized for repeating clothes at an event. Comments left on her paparazzi images trolled her with the argument that since celebrities are rich, they should be able to afford brand new and designer clothes every day.
Recently, on a talk show hosted by fashion designer Anaita Shroff Adjania titled Feet Up with the Stars, Janhvi was asked how she responds to trolls who call her out for repeating outfits and her response was, “Itna bhi paisa nahi kamaaya maine ki har roz naye kapde (I haven’t earned so much money that I can wear new clothes every day).”
That’s not all, she further shared an incident about how she shopped for around Rs 12,000 from Jaipur’s famous Johri Bazaar and like any other girl, she bargained with the shopkeeper. In return, the shopkeeper treated her with local street food like kulfis and samosas. Isn’t that sweet?
We are often judged for repeating outfits. Celebrity or not, we all have faced that head-to-toe gaze checking out our outfit.
