The world knows about Shilpa Shetty’s love for Surya namaskars and yoga. In fact, she often teaches yoga poses to her followers on Instagram as well as on the Shilpa Shetty Fitness app. Earlier today, the actress took to Instagram and talked about the importance of breathing in yoga. “BREATHE… it’s THE most important function that the body performs. Breathing right helps provide oxygen to the organs to perform all the crucial processes, from cognition to digestion to strengthening the immune system,” she wrote in her caption. The actress has her own yoga studio called Diva Yoga and has been teaching the nuances of the practice through Sarva Yoga Studios as well. Just recently, she also talked about how she has converted Arjun Kapoor into a yoga enthusiast who now looks forward to his yoga days more than any other workout routine.

Earlier today, she took to Instagram and shared how her organisation YOLO Foundation celebrated International Yoga Day with the girls from Mumbai’s USF NGO. “Happy World Yoga Day from @jf.yolofoundation had a great afternoon with the girls from the @usf_mumbai and thank you @vrindaofficial for sharing some great yoga and meditation breathing exercises with us!!,” she wrote.

Last year on International Yoga Day, Taapsee had talked about the importance of yoga in her life on Instagram. She wrote, ”Like most of us, I always thought that yoga is just about twisting our body into complicated contortions and about being a human pretzel. Sitting on the mat every day for a few minutes, trying to tune in even when infinite thoughts might interfere, offers as many benefits to our body and mind”.
