Eid al-Fitr follows weeks of fasting and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. This year the festival looked and felt very different. Traditionally, the festival is celebrated by gathering with friends, families, hugging and kissing each other, wearing new clothes and eating elaborate meals. This year the families are celebrating on their own as the current coronavirus pandemic demands that we protect our loved ones by staying away.
While a hug is all that we need to celebrate the festival--especially this year--we have to adapt to the new ways of life. Our celebrities from the telly world and B-Town are setting a great example. All of them decked up and sent virtual hugs to each other while celebrating the festival in their own unique way.
It looks like Hina Khan's celebrations are full of delectable dishes. Look at that chicken marination and that piping hot biryani! Yummy!
The actor celebrated the festival at home with her mom. Here's a cute video that she shared on Instagram:
Divyanka Tripathi shared a throwback photo with husband Vivek Dahiya from the Sheikh Zayed Grand mosque in Abu Dhabi. Well, aren't we all living it up with those throwback pictures right now? The actor wrote, "Chaand Mubaraq ho doston! #Sewai #SheerKorma is due. Shall see you post Corona! #EidMubaraq."

Along with Eid, the family is also celebrating actor Kunal Khemu's birthday. And baby Inaaya gifted a lovely artwork to daddy.
The pandemic may have subdued our Eid celebrations, but the virus cannot dampen our spirits. While families celebrated being together in this lockdown, some shared their celebrations over video calls.
How are you celebrating the festival?
