Hit Or Miss? The Best & Not-So-Great Dressed Bollywood Celebrities From The Week Gone By

Bollywood actors have been out and about for quite some time now, most of them putting their best foot forward with their fashion choices. Did they leave an indelible mark or was the outfit too drab to make an impression? We looked at some of the celeb outings in the last days to see the ‘hit or miss’ side of things in fashion.

Continue reading to know who hit the right note with their appearance in the past few days and who missed it.

Sonam Kapoor

Trust Sonam Kapoor to always top the dressing lists with her A1 sartorial style. Currently in London, the Bollywood actress swapped her preferred couture and red carpet-worthy ensembles for an off-duty look, one that was just about perfect for any casual outing. A pair of straight trousers and a semi-striped shirt aside, the fashion-forward actress opted for a pair of round sunnies and a chic bag by a label called ‘Jeenaa’.
Our verdict: A definite hit!

Rhea Kapoor

Following close by was Rhea Kapoor’s easygoing look that shed light on wearing oversized right. A jersey-like shirt and flared trousers with volume to spare came together in the resident stylist’s at-home outfit, teamed with a pair of high-top sneakers by Reebok. Scroll to see more of such looks and who ended up in the best-dressed list this week.
Our verdict: A hit for certain.

Alia Bhatt

Having mastered the breezy, fit-for-monsoon sartorial style, Alia Bhatt once again made headway in the category, this time acing it with a printed maxi dress that featured a subtle, almost-pastel shade. Easy on the eyes, the attire was complemented by a reliable denim jacket, a versatile fashion separate to include in your closet.
Our verdict: A winning look, i.e. a fashion hit!

Nora Fatehi

She is always on our best-dressed list but this time around, Nora’s OTT gold take failed to live up to the hype. From the texture to the colour and the frumpy look of it, there was simply too much going on, and it didn’t really help that the dancer and actress’s usually on-point hair and makeup felt out of place. A different hairstyle for sure, but a subtle lip colour would have worked better.
Our verdict: A miss.

Sanjana Sanghi

Worn without the stark red dupatta that did nothing to elevate the look, it may have worked but this outfit failed to leave a mark. Sanjana Sanghi’s all-over floral pick was in itself enough to step out in, but given the add-ons (read all those jewellery pieces and the dupatta), it felt a bit all over the place to us.
Our verdict: A miss.

Tamannaah Bhatia

The festivities may be intimate and indoors this year but when it comes to dressing up to the nines, you can still take notes from Bollywood’s best dressed doing it right. Case in point: Tamannaah Bhatia’s vibrant saree from the label Mishru, teamed with ornate jewellery that made for a scene-stealing outfit.
Our verdict: A hit you will want in your festive wardrobe.
